Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has worked extensively in films and television, with leading roles in the films "Night Watch"; "Vildspor" (Wildshot) which he also co-wrote, "Misery Harbours"; "Foreing Fields"; "24 hours in the life of a woman"; "Rembrandt" and "Manden Bag Dren".

He made his British film debut in Sean Mathias ' production of "Bent" alongside Clive Owen, Ian McKellen and Mick Jagger, and has since starred in Michael Apted's "Enigma", starring Dougray Scott and Kate Winslet; "Black Hawk Down" for Ridley Scott and "My name is modesty" for Miramax. He then starred in the British comedy "Wimbledon" alongside Paul Bettany, Kirsten Dunst and James McAvoy. His next projects include "Kingdom of Heaven", for Ridley Scott again; "The Headsman", a big european production directed by Simon Aeby and "Himmerland" a thriller directed by James Barclay.

Nikolaj also made an appearance in "Firewall" alongside Harrison Ford and Virginia Madsen, under the direction of Richard Loncraine ("Wimbledon"). He soon will be leading the cast of "Amsterdam", a new TV series to be directed by Lasse Hallström.
